What happened at the BREAD Conference?

We were delighted to host this year's BREAD Conference on Behavioural Economics and Development at the CSAE.

The Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) and the Mind and Behaviour Research Group at the Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE), University of Oxford, hosted a Conference on Behavioural Economics and Development at the University of Oxford from Wednesday 5 to Thursday 6 February 2020. The Scientific Organizers of the Conference were: Nava Ashraf (London School of Economics), Marcel Fafchamps (Stanford University), Kate Orkin (University of Oxford) and Simon Quinn (University of Oxford). This event was by invitation only.

Workshop on Mental Health, Cognition and Economic Decision-Making

The BREAD conference was be followed by a one-day workshop, on Friday 07 February, on the role of cognitive functions and mental health in economic decisions.

This workshop was organised by Stefan Dercon, Kate Orkin and Alan Stein and involves psychiatrists, cognitive neuroscientists, and economists. This event was by invitation only.
