The CSAE Economic Development in Africa Workshop is a four day event for funded participants of the main CSAE Conference. The workshop takes place prior to the main conference and is hosted by a different university in Africa each year.

This year's workshop will be hosted by the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. The event will include presentations from conference speakers and much more. The programme will follow in Autumn 2024.

The call for papers for the CSAE Conference 2025 is now open. Submissions including funding applications must be made by the earlier deadline for funding of 31 July 2024.

Professor Stefan Dercon will be giving a public online lecture on 'South Africa’s Gamble on Economic Development and Inclusion, then and now'.

This workshop is for the funded participants of the CSAE Conference. To apply for funding you must complete the CSAE Conference 2025 submission form and select "Yes" when you are asked if you would like to apply for funding. Deadline for funding: 31 July 2024
